Brett Anderson Avoids Tommy John Surgery and Receives PRP Treatment

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson is thankfully avoiding Tommy John surgery. Anderson is going to undergo a platelet rich plasma injection to treat his ailing elbow. It it believed that he is suffering from elbow tendonitis. Anderson will be evaluated in three weeks by popular orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Anderson is the A’s # 2 starting pitcher.
