Does PRP Injections for Lower Back Pain Depend Upon the Cause or if it is Musculoskeletal or not?

I have had several requests from people wanting to know about PRP injections for lower back pain. Does it depend upon the cause or if it is musculoskeltal or not?

There are no good studies showing the efficacy of PRP for back pain. Yes, the cause of the back pain is extremely important.

It definitely depends on the cause. If the pain is radiating from a hip issue, then PRP can be quite a successful treatment. Facet Ligament injuries can also be treated with much success with PRP Injections. It definitely depends on whether it is a musculoskeletal issue or not.
